Thanks to the eagle eyes of influencers and Redditor, a fourth-generation aurora ring may have leaked

The leaked image was posted on Snapchat by influencer Chantel Jefferies, best known as a DJ and model; Redditor EducationalAd6786 spotted the social media post and took a screenshot

The screenshotted post shows a hand holding what appears to be an aura ring and the caption “New generation Oura ring arrived proud investor”

From what little we have seen, the ring shown is a more expensive, rounded version that looks very similar to the current Oura Ring Horizon model, one of the best smart rings available

Assuming Jeffries is an investor, it would be odd if the new Oura Ring she holds in her hands is the current 3rd generation smart ring, which has been available since November 2021

The Reddit poster also captured a video posted by Jeffries that gives a better look at the ring, but it still appears to be the Horizon model

The sensors appear to be flush with the inside of the ring, but are slightly raised on the Gen-3 These sensors are reminiscent of the optical heart rate sensors found in most fitness trackers, but we cannot say for sure at this time

Oura is working on the next generation of smart rings, which should have at least two variations, similar to the current Horizon and Heritage models

Previously leaked images show a device similar to the 3rd generation model, but there is speculation that the next model will be thinner

For many, the upgrade comes too late, but what else can we expect from the company's next ring?

We tried to determine if Jeffries is an investor in Oura, but found no public information indicating that she has a stake in the Finnish company At best, we know that she has invested in various bitcoins, the soda company Poppi, and a compensation company called Lolli Jeffries has regularly posted images of herself wearing the Oura Ring and comments about the fitness tracker on various social channels since at least 2021 In other words, it is not unlikely that she is invested in the company or at least a big fan

A representative of Oura contacted Tom's Guide and stated that the influencer's image is indeed the current Oura Ring Gen 3
