hi chain. This was tough. Not only was the theme a bit confusing at first, but I found that sea mammals didn't exactly line up to make my tongue stumble.
I had to use a clue to start, which actually gave me an orca. It's good because it's probably not something I would have easily had on my own, and it gave me a feel for the theme.
I saw a narwhal on the other side and had a seal on it (I was rather lucky because I was actually trying to spell "sealion").
I then found a walrus near the bottom right corner and it cleared enough space to grasp the spangram: MARINEMAMMALS from bottom right to top left.
2 words were left to find. SURPRISINGLY, IT WAS ONLY NOW THAT I GOT THE DOLPHIN, AND IT LEFT ONLY AN ANAGRAM OF MEAENAT TO DECIPHER. Of course, it was a manatee.
