Amazon has announced a new version of its Echo Spot alarm clock that offers a hefty discount for Prime members ahead of next week's Prime Day 2024

Like the original Echo Spot, the device is designed as a customizable alarm clock for the nightstand and comes with a variety of clock faces to choose from and a tiered lighting display that can be viewed comfortably at bedtime or just waking up

Like all the best Alexa speakers, the Echo Spot uses Amazon's virtual assistant for functionality, so you can play a specific song, set your alarm for a specific time on a weekday morning, or check the weather forecast for the day

The all-new Echo Spot features a 173-inch front-facing directional speaker to maximize music, podcasts, and audiobooks It is available in three color options: black, glacier white, and ocean blue

Perhaps one of the most attractive features of the Echo Spot is its price At $129 at launch, it was an inexpensive alternative to the more expensive Echo Show For the 2024 model, however, Amazon has lowered the price to just $79/79 pounds
