As Stinger's career comes to an end, his match may be the most anticipated on the card But before that, one of the most confusing matches is the scramble match Initially, this multi-man match was advertised as a Meet Madness Match and was supposed to be a showcase for the big boys in the AEW locker room to shine Wardlow, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Lance Archer were first announced as participants, but fans could see where this match was going In the words of former WWE Champion Big E, Tony Khan knows that there are times when people want to see big, meaty men pounding flesh in the ring However, TK announced at X that Meat Madness would be canceled due to injuries to those scheduled to participate (presumably including the glorious Keith Lee) Now advertised as an all-star scramble match, eight contestants (two still unannounced as of this writing) will compete for the right to challenge for the future AEW World Title Honestly, it feels a bit like an excuse to get Chris Jericho thrown out at the last minute and get Chris Jericho on the card, especially with so many great wrestlers involved so far, but that's how we all play out
The scramble match has championship implications, with six titles being fought for at this year's Revolution For Eddie Kingston, however, all three of his prestigious belts will be up for grabs in a blockbuster match against Blackpool Combat Club's Bryan Danielson But as important as the modern-day Triple Crown of the AEW Continental Title, the ROH World Title, and the NJPW STRONG Openweight Title is to the Mad King, respect is the main point here This rivalry has been brewing for some time, but it heated up quickly at the Continental Classic In a tournament that culminated in the first Worlds End tournament, Kingston had a hard-fought victory over "American Dragon" to advance to the finals However, Danielson called his opponent "King of the Bums" and refused to show respect to the new champion Now, if Kingston can rise to the top again, there is a stipulation that Danielson must shake hands with his opponents, whether he respects them or not Regardless of the outcome of the match, fans are looking forward to an epic showdown between these two veterans
But back to the veteran who leaves his last stronghold in AEW Revolution 2024 Sting's final match will be a Tornado Tag Team Match where he will defend his AEW World Tag Team Championship against the AEW Vice President duo of Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, aka The Young Bucks, against Darby Allyn Since returning to AEW with "Dynamite": since returning to AEW with "Homecoming" after a brief hiatus, the Jacksons had made it clear that they wanted to be Sting's final opponent However, since their devotion to the EVP Title and adopting more diabolical business handling, the brothers have viciously attacked Sting and Darby after they won the Tag Team Titles against Ricky Starks and Big Bill, attacked Sting's sons, and wrestled in Aline's blood-soaked suit He made things more personal by continuing to The face-painted fighters were able to get a little revenge on the last "dynamite" before the pay-per-view, thanks to a little assist from "Nature Boy" Ric Flair and some classic tactics from the Stinger playbook But can Arin and his mentor retain their titles and send Sting to the top? Or will the Bucks send the legend to the hospital with a superkick? Either way, the wrestling world will celebrate the icon's Hall of Fame career in grand style
