Rendered images of the Samsung Galaxy S24 have been leaked for some time, but thanks to Sonny Dickson of X/Twitter, we now have images of S24 dummy devices
These dummy devices look similar to the Galaxy S23 series, with glossy flat sides, a USB-C port, and a rear camera mounted separately in a metal housing The biggest difference is seen in the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which has flatter sides and looks sharper with no obvious curves on the sides of the back panel The Galaxy S23 Ultra was flatter than the Galaxy S22 Ultra, so it appears that Samsung is slowly moving away from the curved "edge" display that was once a feature
It is difficult to tell if these dummy white colors are meant to be an official colorway for the Galaxy S24 series or just a placeholder Samsung often offers cream/white versions of its phones, but since the Galaxy S24 Ultra's rumored colors are black, gray, violet, and yellow, this white color appears to be unavailable for purchase
The camera appears to be unchanged on the base model, but the two secondary cameras on the Ultra model appear to be slightly smaller, with one opening at the top instead of two This probably makes sense given the rumors that the S24 Ultra might change its camera setup by moving to a single telephoto camera with 50MP resolution instead of the dual 10MP zoom cameras of the S23 However, this may just be a dummy quirk
Since these are dummies, they probably won't use real phone materials, but we expect the actual Galaxy S24 to use a Gorilla Glass front and back panel, and possibly titanium side rails Depending on which rumor source you believe, the titanium may be exclusive to the Ultra model
There is no sign of a display in these images, nor any indication of rumors about the phone's internals But if you're curious what else Samsung's new flagship phone is said to feature, a mix of a custom-tuned Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400 chip, a 144Hz display for the Ultra model, and possibly on-device generative AI capabilities in the form of Samsung Gauss, we're told
Samsung will likely launch the Galaxy S24 series in January or February of next year If these leaked dummies have whetted your appetite for more news and leaks, don't fret
