Samsung may announce the Galaxy Book Series 3 at its Galaxy Unpacked event next Wednesday (February 1)
Most of Samsung's marketing regarding this event is focused on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 series, but if rumors are to be believed, four versions of the Galaxy Book 3 laptop could also be in the pipeline - this is the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 2-in-1, plus the simpler Book 3 Pro and Book 3 models
Recently, detailed specs for the Book 3 Pro and Book 3 Ultra were leaked, and now images of the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360, Book 3 Pro, and Book 3 360 have appeared These are from My Smart Price (opens in new tab) in India, and claim to be design renderings of the upcoming laptops
Looking at these images, it seems unlikely that Samsung will deviate significantly from its previous Galaxy Book notebook designs For example, the Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 had an ultra-thin design with a slim chassis and even thinner bezels, and the Book 3 Pro 360 in this leak looks very similar
The Book 3 Pro, Book 3 360, and Book 3 Pro 360 could each reportedly be available in multiple screen sizes, which would be the same way Samsung sold its previous models According to leaked information, these will also feature Super AMOLED screens, backlit keyboards, and Wi-Fi 6E As for ports, they could include two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB Type-A port, an HDMI port, a microSD card slot, and a 35mm headphone jack The two 360 models of the laptop, as their names suggest, can rotate 360 degrees, just like their predecessors
The laptops should also get Galaxy features such as Samsung Multi Control, Samsung Notes, Quick Share, and Private Share, which are useful if you also own a Samsung Galaxy smartphone or tablet
A new premium Galaxy Book that could be released this year is the Book 3 Ultra, which is expected to ship in both 13-inch and 16-inch sizes This model may feature a next-generation OLED display with touchscreen components integrated into the panel itself In addition, Ultra is said to feature a 13th generation Intel Core i7-13700H CPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 mobile GPU with 6GB of VRAM, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage, making it the best gaming laptop and could compete
Samsung may be hoping to focus customers on the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra by reserving some of the biggest upgrades for the premium model Nothing has been announced yet about pricing, so we will have to see how much they will have to shell out for these premium features
As for the other Book 3 laptops, the improvements seem to be under the hood, as the leaked design does not seem to offer anything new Samsung has not done anything particularly revolutionary with its laptop designs in the past, and from the new renderings, the situation may not change much this year
However, we have not seen renderings of the Ultra model, so maybe Samsung has a surprise up its sleeve with a new laptop this year Here's hoping: on February 1, Samsung will hold a major launch event, Unpacked, in San Francisco
