All the rumors about Nothing, the new gadget brand from OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, and the company's upcoming Ear (1) wireless earbuds have us all excited This is especially true now that Nothing has revealed some key specs of its earbuds

According to the company, the $99 Ear (1) wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation (ANC) feature an impressive battery life for an affordable bud, up to 24 hours total with ANC enabled, and up to 34 hours without battery life

This is the total time when the carrying case that charges the earbuds when not in use is fully charged, as is the case with Apple's AirPods and many other wireless earbuds It remains to be seen how long the buds will last in a single session without charging on the go

Besides, the charging case has a built-in 570 mAh battery that can be charged wirelessly It is also reported that simply charging the case for 10 minutes will allow up to 6 hours of ANC-enabled playback and up to 8 hours without ANC

More details about the Ear (1) earbuds will be revealed a week later at an event on July 27 Pay revealed the look of its Concept 1 earbuds in March, but it is unclear at this point how similar the finished project will be to the bold look of the preview device

Official photos of the Ear (1) charging case suggest a similar translucent appeal, but a teaser illustration released in May shows a stylized silhouette of an entirely different sort

Earlier this month, Tom's Guide audio editor James Archer wrote about his excitement over the Nothing Ear (1) Buds, which promise active noise cancellation at a fraction of the $249 AirPods Pro But whether Nothing's efforts can match the fit, sound quality, and ANC performance of Apple's high-end earbuds remains to be seen (and will remain to be heard)

If you too are excited about the Nothing Ear (1) and are excited enough to be willing to pay extra to own one of the first 100 pairs in existence, you can bid now to secure a limited edition model

Nothing has partnered with apparel reseller StockX to offer the platform's first tech drop The earbuds will be sold to the top 100 bidders, and each case will be individually numbered to reflect the bidder's rank In other words, the highest bidder by the end of the auction will get a case marked "1/100"

The auction runs through today (July 21), and the highest bid as of this writing is $850 However, if you bid north of $200 right now, you would still get one of the 100 pairs So if you're looking to trade a little nothing for a little cash in your pocket, don't forget to take a look at the StockX auction
