Apple Watch7 - Here's why you can't go back to your old Apple Watch

After using the Apple Watch 7 for over a week, I don't think I'll ever go back to the Apple Watch 6

Apple Watch 7 and Apple Watch 6 are not that different in terms of new features, but Apple Watch 7's new size and 20% larger display make the seventh-generation smartwatch the best Apple Watch yet The larger screen space makes it easier to tap control buttons, view activity indicators, and send messages from the wrist

The last task relies heavily on the new Apple Watch QWERTY keyboard, a Series 7-only perk I have been saying for some time that the Apple Watch should take away the native keyboard from the Galaxy Watch, and I am elated that it has finally happened

I admit that I had hoped the keyboard would be included in watchOS 8 so that older Apple Watch models could also benefit from Scribble-free typing Apple essentially Sherlocked the popular Apple Watch keyboard app called FlickType

Such apps should be supported by an App Store-approved update, and users in particular should not ask themselves "should I upgrade to Apple Watch 7" just to access a keyboard that works well But if the question is whether the larger display makes enough of a difference, my answer is "absolutely" [It's the little things that make the Apple Watch 7 the most user-friendly smartwatch Apple has ever released Whether it's tapping the snooze function on an alarm, selecting the intended setting in Control Center, or calculating a tip after a drink, the larger buttons make it incredibly better

I went back to the Apple Watch 6 to see the contrast and couldn't believe how frustrated I was operating my year-old smartwatch I struggled to read my emails and missed the keyboard so much How had I ever managed to get work done? Perhaps I'm exaggerating a bit, but I couldn't wait to get my Series 7 back on my wrist

If there was any practical improvement Apple needed to make to maximize the potential of its flagship wearable, it was an increase in screen size the Apple Watch is an impressive addition to the short history of smartwatches, but the Apple Watch was not enough to make the iPhone It wasn't enough to move forward beyond the need for the iPhone That's not to say it's there yet, but it's clearly headed in that direction

It is commendable that the Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch 3 continue to sell well for first-time smartwatch users and those looking to save money with one of the best and least expensive smartwatches

But for Apple users who like the idea of handling more tasks efficiently with a wearable instead of an iPhone, the Apple Watch 7's larger screen makes it the best smartwatch they can buy right now
