Apple TV Plus will be available for free this weekend.

There are already plenty of ways to get Apple TV Plus for free, but Apple has made it a little easier: on January 4 and 5, Apple announced that it will make its full catalog of original content freely available for streaming.

Simply open the Apple TV app to watch all the best Apple TV Plus shows. Likewise, you can watch Apple TV Plus on the best streaming devices and browsers.

This is the first time in the five-year history of Apple TV Plus that Apple has done this. The goal is clearly to try to showcase a (pretty great) selection of original TV shows and movies in hopes of getting people to pay for a subscription to either the Apple TV Plus alone or the Apple One bundle.

Nevertheless, a weekend is a fairly long time, and it is easy to watch a number of Apple shows in their entirety without paying for them. Nevertheless, if you decide to watch Severance from start to finish, you may have no choice but to sign up for a subscription to see what Season 2 of Severance will be like. The first episode premieres on January 17, and I honestly can't wait.

My favorite Apple TV Plus show is For All Mankind, which ended its fourth season last year. Set in an alternate timeline where the Soviet Union landed on the moon a few weeks before Apollo 11, the show explores a history where space wars never ended, humans entered the solar system, and we can only dream about it now.

I quite like “Ted Russo” as well. Who doesn't, and “Shrinking,” another show by the same creative team, follows a trio of therapists in the aftermath of a devastating loss. Jason Segal, Harrison Ford, and Jessica Williams star. Monarch Also worth watching is “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters,” even if you haven't seen any recent U.S. Godzilla movies, if you like “Mythic Quest” or video games at all.

As for Apple TV Plus shows, there are many that I have not seen, including “Slow Horses” and “Silo”. So while the catalog may seem rather meager, there is plenty to enjoy on a free weekend. However, a weekend would not be enough to see everything.
