Netflix subscribers will know that the streaming service is home to a mountain of content. While the huge variety of shows and movies is an obvious advantage, it can also make it quite difficult to figure out what to stream next.
Even if you consult Netflix's list of top 10 shows, there is no guarantee that what is trending is a must-see. That's why Tom's Guide keeps a close eye on the Top 10 list and frequently lists the three best shows available for streaming on Netflix.
Right now, the list includes a popular spy thriller with Keira Knightley, Harlan Coben's latest mystery thriller, and of course, the return of the most-watched TV show on streaming. For more picks, see Netflix's Best Movies, now in the top 10.
This article is based on the Netflix Top 10 shows list as of 12:30 PM ET on Friday, January 3, 2025.
We are currently in something of a golden age of spy thriller programming, and “Black Dove” is Netflix's major contribution to this boom. Starring Keira Knightley, the show premiered in early December to critical acclaim (she was nominated for a Golden Globe) and has been a top 10 star ever since.
In the show, Black Dove operative Helen (Keira Knightley) reunites with an old assassin friend (Ben Whishaw) to pursue the truth (and revenge) behind her secret lover's death.
