Not a typo! MacBook Air M2 slashed to $699 with Black Friday Early Bird Discount

The MacBook Pro is powerful, but the MacBook Air is still the lightweight laptop of choice for many users. And right now, the M2 Air is on sale at an unbeatable price with the Black Friday Early Bird discount.

Right now, the 13-inch MacBook Air M2 is $699 when you apply the $199 coupon on Amazon. This is in line with the lowest price to date and is an amazing discount on an Apple Intelligence-enabled machine.

The M2 version of the Air will be available in July 2022, and in our tests it lasted over 14 hours on a single charge. If you need portable productivity, here it is.

This offer is valid on the 13-inch MacBook Air M2 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. As mentioned, you'll need to clip the coupon on Amazon's page, but the offer applies to all colors: midnight, space gray, silver, and starlight. This is not the first time we've seen this deal, but it's so great that we'd like to recommend it again.

If you need further proof of this laptop's reliability, check out our MacBook Air M2 review. At the time, we gave it 4.5 stars and literally called it β€œthe best laptop for most people based on our tests.” In fact, the only time the machine lagged was when the reviewer had more than 100 Chrome tabs open in multiple windows. This should convince us that the MacBook Air M3 is still a top-class laptop, even now that the MacBook Air M3 is available.

Other highlights include a crisp Retina display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,664 that is bright and colorful even in direct sunlight.

There are a few trade-offs. The device doesn't edit 4K video as fast as its big brother, the MacBook Pro, and the 256GB of SSD storage fills up quickly. It is also slower than the M3 version as far as read/write speeds. This is because Apple changed two NAND chips to one for this device. And finally, if you are looking for the best gaming laptop, this would not be your first choice.

But regardless of these complaints, the MacBook Air M2 remains a very capable machine that will last for several years, thanks to Apple's support and update timeline. With a price cut of $300 before Black Friday, it's a bargain worth getting.
