The feature they found is called App Auto Open As the name suggests, it automatically opens apps installed from the Play Store

As part of this feature, a notification appears to pop up when App Auto Open is activated Depending on the setting, a ringtone may sound or the device may vibrate Also, this feature appears to be toggleable, but appears to be on by default

According to Android Authority, despite their workarounds, they were unable to get this feature to actually work Instead, they found code, but it is not yet live

It's a shame, though, because this is a long-needed feature and it's surprising that Google has yet to actually implement it across devices running Android 15

According to Android Police, App Auto Open, which is supposed to be a new notification for the Google Play Store, would be a boon This notification system will send users a reminder if an app is left unopened 24 hours after installation

Assuming both features are actually released, users would be able to automatically open apps installed on their Android smartphones and be reminded that they forgot to open them It could also be combined with the recently released feature that allows simultaneous downloads
