After testing the Quick Reply feature on Gmail last year, Google is ready to make this feature a permanent part of the email client - at least for some users

Google has started rolling out Quick Reply to Gmail for Android, and this new feature is aimed at making it easier to reply to emails The update to Gmail seems to be part of the latest Android feature drop that came out today, according to the Android Authority 

As of this writing, not everyone has a new UI update The rollout is in progress, and the Android feature Drop Notes does not provide clarity when anyone gets access to a quick reply

The Reply, Reply All, and Forward buttons appear at the bottom of the email, even if you haven't received it When you tap these buttons, you will see a full-screen window to configure the response

The new Quick Reply UI replaces everything with a new text box that you can tap to quickly type short replies There is a drop-down menu that allows you to edit recipients or reply to everyone included in the original email And naturally, you will be able to even use the emoji reaction button

When you start typing, the emoji button is replaced with the Submit button To enter long emails, you can also use the Expand button to switch to the regular email creation screen The Android Authority is expecting a new Gemini button to come to Gmail, so it's possible that there is a bigger change in the Android Gmail app This addition is discovered by Android Authority contributors and allows for both queries from users and email summaries

Currently, the browser version of the Gemini button is available to Workspace users Workspace is a suite of Google products for business purposes So it's unclear when non-business users of Gmail on the browser will get this button, but there are much fewer Android apps

Other new features in Android Feature Drop today seem to be mostly focused on Google Meet and Google Home Users can also finally edit the message in Google Messages
