These are the 2024 PS5 trailers you need to watch from PlayStation State of Play5

The latest PlayStation State of Play event took place yesterday (530 PM), with several upcoming PS5 games and several titles heading to PSVR2 (literally my dream game

in the 30-minute showcase, more than a dozen PlayStation games will be highlighted and you can now see the entire state of play) You can see the full rerun But if you're a bit chased by time, or just want to skip some of the fluff enjoying the good stuff, I've picked the 5 must-see trailers below

If you want to learn more about the games featured in State of Play2024, we're delving deeper into the PlayStation blog And now, with no further introduction, here are the 5 PS5 games that stole the show

Astro Bot has shut down State of Play2024, and it's definitely the title that stole the social media spotlight Scheduled to launch on May 6, this is Astro's first full game (discounted PSVR-only Astro Bot: Rescue Mission), essentially a sequel to Astro's Play Room, a free pack-in title available on all PS5 consoles The giveaway is still ranked among the best PS5 games, so the idea of a full Astro Adventure has been very advertised to me This fascinating platformer looks like a perfect celebration of PlayStation history, and I'll wait to be reunited with the little robot later this year

On the other side of the scale, compared to Astro Bot, Concord received a rather hurtful reception on social media after a presentation at State of Play I had a choice Developer Firewalk treats viewers to the first look at the gameplay of this first-person multiplayer shooter, and at least to my eyes, parrals among online favorites like Concord and Overwatch are also a bit on the nose, albeit at a pretty fun time I think Concord's general reception wasn't helped by a long CGI trailer that didn't exactly represent the shooter's gameplay

State of Play2024 provided a new trailer for the long-awaited follow-up to the 2018 Monster Hunter World In the wilderness, you can explore the vast open world in search of huge behemoths and use the collected resources to make better gear It's the same formula the franchise has been dining on for two decades, but why fix something that's not broken? To be honest, I've never clicked on the Monster Hunter series, but the reception to this latest trailer from long-time fans is very positive

The latest installment of the legendary Dynasty Warriors series is coming next year Dynasty Warriors: Origins promises the biggest battles ever seen in Warriors games and centers on a new hero who must fight to survive during the fierce Three Kingdoms period, which seems to be another sequel that isn't particularly relevant to reinventing the established wheel, but Dynasty Warriors fans won't have any other way If you want a massive skirmish Dynasty Warriors promises "1 vs 1,000 action": Origins should be on your radar

It's always fun to see these showcases littered with some new Ip, and the trailer described as "an open-world action-adventure RPG set in Ancient China," revealed in State of Play2024, which Winds Meet drew the most attention to, gave me some insight We've given the big Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Rise of The Ronin, Ghost of Tsushima vibes, and we don't have any information on its release date yet, but we'd like to know more over the next few months
