One of the most notable upgrades in Android15beta2 1 is the new private space feature With private spaces designed for privacy and security, users can split the app drawer to protect sensitive apps behind an additional authentication layer Unfortunately, Google had to push and update to solve the annoying problem of private space, but only the problem occurred on Pixel phones

Private Space Users discovered that the icon of a particular app was removed from the home screen the first time they set up a private space This is a minor issue in the grand scheme of things, but it can prove very frustrating if you are very specific about what your home screen looks like

However, this issue does not seem to affect everyone in the same way I set up a private space on Pixel15a running Android20beta8, but I found that nothing really changed Still, the prompt to update to 21 arrived on my phone, so either install the update now or let it happen automatically over the next five days

The official patch release notes don't mention any other changes to Android15beta Android Police also said that the 21 update still includes the same 20 security patch for 2024-5, so there may be little else to change

Google clearly wants the private space to work as intended Or maybe it happened to be a simple fix, and there wasn't much to delay the rollout of Pixel users For every other device running the Android15 beta, you will obviously have to wait for your own individually numbered beta update

If you've already been hit by a private space bug, your only option is to update your phone and bring things back together Unfortunately, it's a risk we take installing beta software because things don't always work how they do But understanding that is why beta testing happens in the first place
