Howdy Strand Fans After yesterday's tricky puzzles, today's nice and easy ones 

"Part of the equation" immediately gets you thinking about the math that happens to be just so spangram, starting with the first letter slot in the upper left corner

It immediately sealed off the word calculation in the upper right corner and left four more answers on the board

None of them was particularly taxed I found the multiplication in the next lower right corner, followed by the division of the opposite number starting just above it 

The subtraction just appeared on its left and it left the only thing I would not have gotten from a free Association round: derivation
