Are you late for work because your iPhone alarm didn't go off? You are not alone Other iPhone users had the same problem this morning Apple is aware of the problem faced by some users whose iPhones may be alerting them without making a sound
The Today Show was the first to report this issue Apple has since stated that the problem may be caused by the Attention Aware feature of the device The Wall Street Journal's Joanna Stern spoke with Apple and posted this on X" Apple confirmed this morning that it is aware of the issue causing some alarms not to sound and is working on a fix"
The first response to Stern's X post came from a disgruntled iPhone owner who wrote, "It happened today (lol) When I check my phone, it shows the alarm UI and no audio Very frustrating
Another X user weighed in: "I had a problem with the alarm not working and had to check several times to see if I had turned it off by mistake The days the alarm doesn't go off are randomly determined
Fortunately, there is a temporary fix until Apple can work out what's going on: turn off the Attention Aware feature on your iPhone and you won't have to worry about your alarm clock letting you down Here's how:
This should solve the iPhone alarm clock problem for now Of course, if your alarm clock doesn't work today, the problem is not solved Thankfully, this is a widespread problem, so hopefully your boss will understand that it is not your fault
FYI, my iPhone woke me up on time this morning, so I had no problem I would have enjoyed sleeping in, but I'm glad I wasn't late for work like some iPhone owners Just to be safe, though, I'm going to turn it off until a fix comes out
