Hello Strand fans! Today's puzzle is a bit tricky, but I got a bit lucky: the WHEELBARROW (the longest answer in the grid) was easy to find Funny thing is, I was actually looking for something like a poker chip when I came up with the "token"
WHEELBARROW was there, and I quickly realized that this was a Monopoly piece, and sure enough, MONOPOLY was easy to spell, a spangram across the board from top to bottom
IRON was an easy spot, as was THIMBLE near the spangram Only SHIP remained on the left
Spelling out CAR instead of RACECAR at first took a bit of time, but not too long; thankfully PENGUIN was the last answer I was definitely not looking for it because it is not in the UK version of the game
I was curious, so I looked it up and found that Penguin was added to the game in 2017 as a way to refresh the concept I haven't played Monopoly for about 20 years, so it's no surprise that I wasn't aware of this development!
