New updates released for OnePlus12 and OnePlus11 - all new features

OnePlus has distributed new updates for the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 11

Android Authority reports that OnePlus has released two separate updates for the 12 and 11 - the former with the sexy name OxygenOS 1400604 and the latter with Oxygen OS 1400601 However, the changelog for both updates seems to be very similar

The biggest addition to both models is the ability to create photo collages in the Photos app It seems to be limited to only combining a maximum of two photos, which seems like a basic feature for now, but a step in the right direction to make photography a one-stop destination for your editing needs

It also brings the same camera improvements that were recently rolled out in India, although not directly mentioned in the update These improvements include the ability to easily switch between more focal lengths by tapping the zoom button in the camera app, as well as improved clarity and color accuracy for photos taken in portrait mode using 2x zoom

You will also find an option to take "partial screenshots" in the smart sidebar and a toggle to use the volume down key as a flashlight switch when the screen is off Additionally, a fuzzy search has been implemented in the draw mode home screen bar, allowing users to search for apps by typing the first letter of the app

On the security front, the March update for Android 14 is present and accounted for We just recently saw this roll out for the Galaxy S24 series too, along with some fixes for Samsung's camera woes

The OnePlus 12 is a great phone, earning a 45/5 in our review, which praised its improved design and display It is unfortunate that the AI features announced in China have not yet been released for other countries, but it is positive that OnePlus continues to be at the top of the patch

Currently, users in Europe and India can download the OnePlus 12 update; the OnePlus 11 update is currently only available in India, but is expected to be rolled out more widely soon
