Now you can work out for free with Samsung TVs

It's rare that a device purchased a few years ago is offered a useful free update Usually, an upgrade is required to take advantage of the latest features, but those who bought a new Samsung TV in 2020 can now stream free workouts to build muscle and burn fat at home

This is thanks to a new partnership with audio-focused workout app WithU, which will offer 26 on-demand classes that can be taken at no extra charge through the Samsung Health app And the good news is that the deal will apply to any of the best Samsung TVs launched after January 2020

WithU has its own library of exercise classes in the app, but these routines are exclusive to the Samsung TV-based WithU On-Screen program, and sessions start at 10 minutes for those times when you don't have time but want to get moving and work those muscles

According to Kaleigh Scott, one of WithU's co-founders, the goal of the program is to "bring world-class coaching to everyone so that people around the world can build sustainable fitness routines" To that end, each class will have two instructors who will demonstrate beginner and advanced workouts

This is ideal for those just starting out, as it means they have access to practically 52 routines and can use movements suitable for beginners until they feel strong enough to progress to advanced routines that continue to challenge their muscles along with progressive overload techniques

One of the reasons WithU stands out among many of the other best workout apps is its primary focus on audio instruction rather than video This makes it ideal for exercisers who work out outside or want to wear sports headphones and keep their phones stowed away while exercising

You don't have to be a member of WithU to take advantage of Samsung's own routines, but if you download the app, it also offers free workouts that you can do on the go For just $999 per month, you also get access to an entire library of over 1,500 sessions

If you are invested in the Samsung ecosystem, you may have seen the Health app It is installed on all Samsung phones and helps record steps, sleep, and other fitness statistics in a similar way to Apple Health on the iPhone

All you need is an account to get started, but it also works well with the company's wearables, like Samsung's Galaxy Watch 6, which combines a fitness tracking sensor with an improved version of Google's Wear OS and access to all essential Google apps
