The Motorola Razr+ (2024) appears to be getting three major upgrades: design changes, new internals, and AI capabilities This information was posted on the Chinese social media site Weibo by Chen Jin, head of mobile devices at Lenovo China
According to the post, the Motorola Razr+ will have a chipset powerful enough to handle AI-related tasks It has been suggested that this could mean that the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, or at least equivalent
There are also indications that the Motorola Razr+ (2024) will undergo a design overhaul that is expected to follow a similar trend to the changes between the Motorola Razr (2023) and Razr+ The Plus model will feature a larger 36" external quick view screen, making the phone much easier to use Hopefully, the user experience and external screen features will be improved in the next model
The strengths of the previous model focused primarily on design, camera, and battery life Battery fast charging and longevity is important, and using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will likely help - given that slabs with this new chip tend to have better battery life than many other phones on the market
We also hope to see improvements in the low-light capabilities of the main camera, which was an issue in our review of the Motorola Razr+ (2023) This is a problem that could easily be solved with the inclusion of AI, as it has been shown to improve camera output and quality For example, it is one of the major features of Samsung's new One UI 62 and Samsung's Gauss AI
It is important to note that it is not currently known if these features will be included in phones released outside of China, and these are currently rumors We will know more once Motorola officially launches the phone, but for now, let's keep our expectations high
