There have already been many rumors and leaks about Motorola's next-generation Razr line of folding smartphones Including that it will offer twice the fun by launching two versions: the standard Motorola Razr 2023 and a premium option, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra Newly leaked marketing materials suggest that the latter may debut in the US under a different name
Specifically, Blass has posted that the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra will be known as the Razr Plus when it ships in the US
The marketing materials shared by Blass also indicate that the Razr Plus will have a larger display than we have seen in past Razr foldables corroborates previous design leaks that it comes with a larger cover display than we have seen A short video showcasing the capabilities of this display shows users replying to messages, accessing apps, and playing games without having to open the phone
According to previous rumors, the Razr Plus cover screen is 35 inches in size and takes up almost half of the phone's exterior The screen is much larger than past Razr foldouts and appears to encompass the dual-lens rear camera Recent Razr spec leaks suggest that the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra/Razr Plus will feature an FHD+ display that supports HDR and at least 120Hz
For now, all of this is just speculation Motorola has not revealed much about the upcoming Razr 40 duo, only announcing a June 1 launch We don't know exactly when the release date will be, but it will most likely be later that month
If so, this launch would be around the same time as the Google Pixel Fold, which was announced at Google I/O this month but will not ship until June Later this year, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are expected to arrive as Samsung updates its foldable lineup with new versions Rumor has it that an official announcement from Samsung may come in the last week of July
