Windows10 update fixes the biggest copy and paste issue

In an upcoming Windows 10 update, Microsoft will add a large number of features to the clipboard to make it easier to copy and paste when importing content from the Internet or documents

This is according to Windows Latest, which says these features will be found when opening the clipboard history window (Win+V) Perhaps the biggest perk of this new update is the "Paste as Text" button, which allows you to paste unformatted text taken from websites, PDFs, etc

This is huge because of the problems that can occur if formatting is retained Pasting text from a web page into a document often results in a completely unappealing block of text that is out of place or in a different font or color

Without this feature, it would take a lot of effort to pull unformatted text from a website For example, we use an empty TXT document in Notepad, keep it open forever, and then paste the text in to clean it up

The Clipboard History window will also include a GIF and Emoji panel to make it easier to use them in supported applications

These new features are a welcome addition to the Clipboard History window, which is not as well known as the traditional copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) commands This update is expected to improve the overall Cloud Clipboard feature, which allows PC users to easily share items copied from mobile devices to Windows 10 machines; the Mac has a similar one called Universal Clipboard that allows the same nearby devices using an Apple ID can automatically paste items copied on other devices

As for when this feature will appear, Windows Latest has mentioned an update to Windows 10 known as version 21H2 This update, due this fall, is known as Sun Valley and is expected to rejuvenate the look and feel of Windows 10
