The 690 is a downgrade, as the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are expected to feature the flagship Snapdragon 888 chip While this chip may have 5G connectivity, the 600 series is designed for budget and mid-range smartphones In fact, it is the same chipset used in the OnePlus Nord N10, which was introduced last October
