The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is a great phone, especially for its price However, you can't say no to improvements, especially when adding Samsung Galaxy S21 features
The latest firmware update for the Galaxy S20 FE (G781BXXU2CUC6) has begun rolling out in many European countries With it, the S20 FE is now more affordable than before, with the fancy camera features that debuted on the Galaxy S21 series
Onboard features include the ability to use the ultra-wide camera lens in Pro mode and new effects in the phone's portrait mode Unfortunately, there are still many features that are exclusive to the Galaxy S21 series
Missing features include the ability to use portrait mode in low light and a director's view that allows the user to switch camera lenses when shooting video So if you want the most fully featured Samsung phone camera, you would still be better off choosing one of the Galaxy S21 series
But if you need a great Samsung phone that isn't priced the same as the flagships, this update makes the Galaxy S20 FE more attractive If you're already rocking your own phone, you have something to look forward to in the near future
If you want to check if the update is still available for the Galaxy S20 FE, you need to head to the Settings menu From there, click on Software Update and see if your phone is already aware that new firmware is available If it is, you will see an option to download and install Tap it to get yourself started
If that option is not available, your phone is already fully up-to-date Therefore, you will need to wait a few days for this new firmware to roll out
But once the installation waiting game is over and your phone is up to date, all you have to do is head over to the camera app and look for the nice new features
According to SamMobile, the update is already rolling out in Austria, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, the Baltics, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and the Nordic region
The update will be rolled out in other regions over the next few days, starting with the Galaxy S20 FE 5G; LTE-only models have not been overlooked, but will have to wait a bit longer for availability
