We've already seen still images of AirPods 3 imitations, and now there are even more widely available clones
YouTube channel EverythingApplePro spotted one of these imitations, based on the AirPods 3 design leaked earlier this year While obviously not the real thing, their unboxing video gives us a glimpse of what the AirPods 3 could look like
The AirPods 3 clone in question is the Air60 TWS, currently being sold through the gray market site AliExpress, which appears to copy its design leaks down to the smallest detail, including the location and size of the IR sensor, as well as the leaked AirPods 3 The design of the charging case is also copied
EverythingApplePro compares this to the current AirPods and AirPods Pro cases, and it appears that this could be the smallest and most portable AirPods case ever
Other elements of the Air60 TWS are consistent with what we have seen and heard from other AirPods 3 leaks, showing a slightly more compact stem than the AirPods Pro, shorter stems than the AirPods, and a force sensor in each earpiece
EverythingApplePro also found no place to stick a set of removable in-ear tips According to various rumors, it appears that the AirPods 3 will either come standard with ear tips, be foregone altogether, or allow for optional additions
However, if the Air60 TWS is indeed a copy of the final AirPods 3 design, the new buds will likely adopt the same one-size-fits-all approach as the current AirPods Nevertheless, YouTubers have found that the new design seals slightly better to the ear than the stock second-generation AirPods, and the AirPods 3 could produce better passive noise isolation
Curiously, the Air60 TWS also includes a "spatial audio" feature Whether the actual AirPods 3 will support Apple's "real" spatial audio is still unknown and was not included in the aforementioned design leak But even if Apple wants to avoid stepping on the AirPods Pro's toes, it would be a nice addition
Of course, Apple could have changed the AirPods 3 design since these leaks, but that would require a quick response
