Apple Watch7 Leak Teases Redesign inspired by iPhone12

UPDATE: Apple Watch 7 design changes leaked in new renderings Check it out!

The Apple Watch 7 will feature a flat-edge design similar to the iPhone 12 and the latest iPad Pro 2021, and may even release a new color, green

The leak comes from industry insider Jon Prosser, who revealed this information on his Apple-themed Genuis Bar podcast, teasing that he knows more about the Apple Watch 7 Prosser, however, remained tight-lipped, giving only these two pieces of information

In the podcast, Prosser explained that the flat-edge screen is "more delicate" than those found on other Apple products Regardless, assuming the leak is accurate, this display redesign would be the most significant change to the popular smartwatch we've seen repeatedly on several occasions

While we cannot yet confirm if this leak is legitimate, it seems quite logical that Apple would want to further unify the design across its flagship products The Apple Watch 7, with its flat-edge screen, would be a device in line with the iPhone 12 and iPad Pro

As for the new green color, well, it's pretty much exactly what it sounds like, but don't expect bright shades of green The shade of green offered is expected to be similar to the pastel colors found on the AirPods Max Apple seems to be embracing a multi-color approach with its recent products, especially the new iMac 2021

This is not the first leak regarding the Apple Watch 7 Previous rumors have included a new "Wrist ID" system that will make unlocking easier and a revamped swim tracking feature that will make the wearable more swim-friendly

The smartwatch has not yet been technically confirmed by Apple However, this is a fairly safe bet, as the tech company has released a new Apple Watch every year since 2015 Based on the release dates of previous models, we expect the watch to be available in mid-September, but hopefully more details will be leaked before then
