The OnePlus Nord CE 5G was only confirmed a few days ago, but new leaks have already revealed most of its key specs ahead of its launch next month
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau announced the "Core Edition" Nord last week, promising to "distill the original Nord down to its core elements" while adding several new features Now Android Central, citing "inside sources," has revealed almost every aspect of the phone - and it appears to have the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G in its sights
For starters, it reportedly has the same chipset as Samsung's mid-ranger, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 750G This is a capable chip that offers speeds there for most people's needs, though not quite as fast as the flagship Snapdragon 888
In our review of the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G, the chipset scored 637 in single-core tests and 1,866 in multi-core tests These scores are almost identical to the Snapdragon 765G SoC in the original OnePlus Nord
But even if it beats the others in processing power, the Snapdragon 750G supports 5G and should rival the best 5G phones in terms of connection speed
The CE 5G screen technology is much the same as the original OnePlus Nord This is far from a guarantee, given that the lower-priced Nord N10 and N100 have been converted to LCD screens However, the Nord CE 5G will feature a 643" AMOLED display with a 90 Hz refresh rate
While the appearance appears similar to the original OnePlus Nord, Android Central notes a change in the rear camera housing Importantly, the lens in the camera bump is also improved over the original OnePlus Nord, and the main sensor is upgraded from 48MP to 64MP This camera will be one of three cameras on the back, but the report does not detail the specs or features of the two auxiliary lenses
There are still some gaps that need to be filled, but it gives us a solid picture of what the OnePlus Nord CE 5G will look like when it launches on June 10 Notably, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau told our sister site TechRadar that the device will be "a great everyday phone at a more affordable price [If so, one can certainly forgive some familiarity with the core specs
