Loki's post-credit scene explained - who we just met?

We had never seen a post-credits scene for Loki Episode 4 just came out on Disney Plus, and it was a shocking episode In several ways Not only did the story take a huge leap forward from last week's fairly tepid performance, but it also took a completely unexpected turn

And for the first time in this series, Marvel added the standard post-credits direction If you are one of them, read on to find out exactly what this means Spoiler alert, of course

The episode, titled "Nexus Event," ended with Loki and Sylvie finally reaching the Timekeeper and being freed from TVA's shackles with the help of Hunter B-15 The mischievous duo then learned that the Timekeeper is not really real (at least that one isn't) and that the whole thing is a scam When Sylvie decapitated him with her sword, sparks flew from his head [But before the two could formulate a plan, it appeared that Loki had been "pruned" by Judge Renslayer and sentenced to be gone forever

However, this was not the case Loki was in fact sent to an entirely different place The anti-hero initially thought the devastated world glimpsed in the flashback sequence in Thor/Ragnarok was Hel

Instead, Loki arrived at a desolate world Perhaps there was a variant like him among the many Loki's who claimed to have been pruned while Morbius was at the TVA

Now, at first glance, there are at least two of them I had no idea who the man on the left was I assumed that he might be a variant of Thor, because of the hammer aspect However, the credits say "the proud Loki," so he is definitely the God of Mischief Nevertheless, there is no small amount of reference to his brother's character

This is a multiverse we are talking about, and with endless possibilities, there will be more than a few versions of the hammer (perhaps Mjolnir) wielding character - and also one that is not the skinny white guy that most people recognize

Other Unmistakably Loki, the character was pulled straight from the comics Front row center is Kid Loki, Lizard Loki (or the crowned alligator), and behind him is the classic version of the character played by Richard E Grant

Kid Loki is a more recent version of Loki from the comics, a heroic character who actually joined the Young Avengers The classic version of Loki is generally portrayed as a much more villainous and diabolical character than the Loki played by Tom Hiddleston Therefore, it is likely that some dastardly shenanigans will appear

As for the location, we speculate that it could be some sort of limbo dimension or a multi-world "dumping ground" to which deleted variants are sent when they are pruned by the TVA In the background we can also see the ruins of Avengers Tower, first spotted in Loki's first trailer:

Clearly not a particularly safe place, given that Classic Loki tells the MCU's Loki and his friends to "come with the rag-tag group or you will die" The only question is whether this world is occupied by subspecies of Loki or all the subspecies reaped by the TVA Either way, it is not a place where one would want to be alone

This turn also makes one wonder if the President Loki we saw in the trailer is our Loki or just another variant, based on the "Vote Loki" arc from 2016

My guess is that it is a variant, since we see Loki and Boastful Loki fighting together in fairly similar places in the trailer So I can assure you that the "boastful Loki" will not stab his other self in the back At least, not particularly soon
