The listing is for a phone labeled "Samsung SM-G990E," a twist on the name of the SM-G990B used in the Qualcomm version, using an Exynos 2100 chipset and 8GB RAM In this test, it scored 1,084 points for single-core and 3,316 points for multi-core

This is considerably higher than the first Geekbench listing in May, but the scores have steadily increased with each subsequent appearance of the SM-G990B and are now nearly identical

In the past, Samsung has tended to use Qualcomm chips for the US and Exynos versions for the rest of the world But even if that is the case here, it may matter to US buyers [Earlier this year, the Galaxy S21 FE was rumored to be canceled due to the ongoing global chip shortage and Samsung's need to divert the Snapdragon 888 chip to its new foldable handset Even though that report now appears to be discredited, it is likely that it was not entirely unfounded, which could have meant that the availability of this phone was apparently limited Hopefully, the existence of the Exinos model will ease the pressure on the supply of the Qualcomm version

As for when we will officially see the device that Samsung accidentally unveiled on Instagram, one tipster believes that there are 10 days left until the reveal: Wednesday, September 8

Hopefully that will be the case As we have mentioned before, the longer Samsung delays the release of the Galaxy S21 FE, the less attractive the headset will be sandwiched between the rapidly depreciating Galaxy S21 and the forthcoming Galaxy S22
