Dell seems poised to announce an improved version of the XPS 15 and a larger XPS 17
At least that's what it reads from an image posted on Reddit by a user named WesolyKubeczek
With the Dell XPS 13, Dell has opted for evolution rather than revolution, and while this ultraportable is aesthetically similar to its predecessor, only a few key areas have been improved Most notably, the Infinity Edge display's lower bezel has been eliminated, resulting in a screen-to-body ratio of 915%From the leaked images, it appears that both the upcoming XPS 15 and the new XPS 17 will follow the design shown by their smaller siblings and will feature more ports However, from what we can read from the leaked images, it appears that both larger XPSs will drop their traditional USB Type-A support in favor of USB-C ports
Also, like the XPS 13, both the XPS 15 and XPS 17 are expected to feature a 4K touchscreen option
While this is speculation, it is likely that these XPS machines will be powered by the latest Intel 10th generation H-series processors, with 4 cores on the lower end models and 8 cores on the higher end models RAM will range from 8GB to 32GB, with the highest spec XPS 17 64GB is a possibility
Storage will likely be NVMe, up to around 1TB or 2TB, with the XPS 15 likely to have a GeForce GTX 1660 and the XPS 17 possibly a GeForce RTX 2060
The XPS 15 is a staple of Dell's high-end laptops, but bringing a 17-inch model back into the mix is an interesting move This could be Dell's response to Apple's 16-inch MacBook Pro Apple's 16-inch MacBook Pro is highly regarded for its improved keyboard, powerful audio, and balance of overwhelming power and long battery life
Sibling site Laptop Mag reports that the XPS 15 will arrive this month and the XPS 17 will be released in mid-2020
