The sound of the Ps5 startup was just teased by Burger King — yes, really

PS5 information comes from a variety of sources, but one that seems a bit unlikely is Burger King However, fast food giant Burger King tweeted a video showing the "King" mascot opening a takeout bag and being enveloped in a blue light that is believed to be the sound of a PS5 starting up

This is not the first time this sound has been heard; it popped up at Sony's PS5 launch event in June However, hearing this sound a second time suggests that this is indeed the sound the PS5 makes when it is turned on

The fact that the Burger King mascot walked away with a shiny bag and left the date "10/15" in its wake suggests that Burger King will announce something related to the PS5 on October 15 My guess is that it is some sort of promotion in which avid consumers of the lackluster burger will win a PS5 if they can get enough beef, bread, and special sauce in their mouths

Or it could be a similar PlayStation/Burger King partnership, such as offering PlayStation Store credits or discounts with certain meals or free PS Plus for a few months

It is also possible that Burger King is teasing a sequel to "Sneak King," a game created by Burger King in partnership with Microsoft as part of a promotion

The game itself involved putting on King's boots and delivering burgers to hungry people before they passed out from lack of food The sneaking element was to avoid the vision cone of hungry people This is because, according to the logic of the game, seeing food being delivered seems to make people feel less hungry

As of now, we can only speculate However, it does seem a bit odd that Sony would need to tie in a Burger King promotion, given that pre-orders for the PS5 sold out so quickly For Sony's gaming division, the PS5's appeal and the number of PS4 fans eagerly awaiting the transition to the next generation console is more than enough promotion

The PS5 is scheduled to launch in the US on November 12, and we will soon see how Sony's next-generation console measures up against the Xbox Series X
